Solution Delivered

The Problem

The client is a large-sized cheese producer. The temperature and humidity in the pressing and acidification rooms are maintained by individual ceiling mounted units (CMU) that were supplied with hot and cold water for temperature control and water misting for humidity control. The CMU’s were unable to maintain setpoint temperatures and relative humidity and an evaluation of the system was requested.

  • Install air relief valves.
Following review of the evaluation recommendations, the client requested that installation drawings and specifications be prepared for implementation of the recommendations.

Custom
Solution

What was initially thought to be an equipment issue was determined to be a distribution issue as a result of the evaluation. The recommendations could be implemented without a shutdown or long equipment lead times.

The client implemented the recommendations presented and was subsequently able to meet the set point room temperature and relative humidity.
